DRP 3.0 RELEASE FRI is happy to announce the release of the Device Rating Program (DRP) Version 3.0. This was a major overhaul of DRP that will enable more sustainable upgrades to the program. FRI is planning significant improvements to continue to provide value to our membership. The DLL conversion project was approved by the membership to allow for easy future modifications like the addition of new models and features to DRP. In DRP 3.0, the calculation engine (DLL) was simplified, and re-written in C# using the Microsoft .NET platform. The following models were ported into the DRP 3.0 DLL Valve tray capacity model (TR-183) Valve tray efficiency model (TR-184 and TR-185) Pseudo Crimp Inclination Angle (PCIA) calculations
From a user standpoint, DRP 3.0 functionality is identical to DRP 2.3 except for minor bug fixes. Despite its similarity to DRP 2.3 in its appearance and functionality, DRP 3.0 is vastly improved in that it has a new calculation engine that now facilities major improvements in DRP in the near future. Important Notes:Version 3.0 will not automatically uninstall previous versions if they exist DRP 3.0 can be installed alongside DRP 2.3, but separate activation is required for each version. DRP 2.3 license can be renewed (separately from DRP 3.0 license). Manual activation is required, if you have not activated previous versions before. The activation page is available here DRP 3.0 can open files created using DRP 2.3. Files saved using DRP 3.0, however, cannot be opened using earlier versions of DRP. DRP 3.0 no longer requires administrator access to “run” DRP. Administrator access is still required for installation.
