KBC Advanced Technologies plc (KBC) announces the release of Petro-SIM(TM) Version 2. With the release of Version 2, more companies around the world are adopting this technology.
Petro-SIM allows process engineers to model the entire refinery, then optimize, analyze and evaluate complex refinery interactions. It can be used to determine the impact of different feedstocks and operating targets, monitor process performance, conduct investment studies, or update a Linear Program (LP) model. Petro-SIM is fully integrated with KBC's SIM suite, which offers the most complete set of refinery reactor models in the industry.
The power of Petro-SIM lies in the knowledge on which it is built. The flowsheet and SIM models are constructed with best-in-class process technology know-how and proven accurate in actual refinery applications for more than 20 years. The breadth and depth of expertise infused in these models derives from and continues to be supported by KBC's Global Consultancy Network. Our technology specialists have configured many hundreds of stand-alone refinery process models and more than 120 fully integrated, refinery-wide flowsheets with embedded reactor models.
"KBC is pleased that this release of Petro-SIM has prompted so much excitement in the market," says Simon Rogers, Vice President of Software, KBC. "We look forward to continuing to work with each of our clients to maximize the value they receive from our modeling technology and consulting services."
