Transport Gasifier–Over 8,300 gasification hours, almost 5,000 combustion hours. No significant refractory erosion.–Long, steady test runs of up to 1,300 hours. Operation is routine. –Tested subbituminous, lignite, and bituminous coals.–Both air-blown and oxygen-blown operation.–Projected turbine inlet LHV’s of up to 147 (air-blown) and up to 298 (oxygen-blown) Btu/SCF–Carbon conversions in excess of 95% for PRB coal and lignite—some values as high as 98%.–Demonstrated new ash removal system.–Controls automation and sensor development ongoing–Used recycled synthesis gas for aeration |
