Dear sir/madam
Tuesday, May 20th, Process Systems Enterprise will present a webinar titled Reliable and efficient scale-up of a batch cooling crystallization process using population balance modelling - an industrial case study. The Q&A session will include representatives from local PSE offices and distributors in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan to accept and answer questions in local language.
Model-based scale-up and optimisation is a powerful technique for achieving the desired quality and reducing the cost of experimentation and the time to market. For complex crystallization processes, population balance modelling is capable of predicting the effect of the batch recipe on the particle size distribution (PSD) of the final product. However, this technique is mathematically complex and has traditionally required deep knowledge of specialist areas. New tools allow engineers to apply population balance modelling without highly-specialised numerical skills.
This webinar will present a case study illustrating the application of model-based crystallization process analysis, scale-up and optimisation. Topics will include:
[*] Experiments conducted at the lab and bench scale
[*] Choosing a model for the cooling crystallization process
[*] Using lab-scale data to estimate parameters for growth and secondary nucleation
[*] Predicting and validating the PSD of the bench scale crystallizer model
[*] Optimising the recipe followed by validation of the recipe at lab scale
This webinar is aimed at process engineers, scientists and technical management from companies operating crystallization processes, especially in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries. The 50-minute webinar begins at 16:00 KST / 16:00 JST / 15:00 CST / 17:00 AEST on May 20th and includes an open Q&A session. A recording will be made available to all registered attendees one day after the broadcast.
Register soon, spaces are filling up quickly.
Best regards,
